class Tensor(*args, **kwargs)[source]

Bases: AbstractEventType

The Tensor class represents the six moment-tensor elements Mrr, Mtt, Mpp, Mrt, Mrp, Mtp in the spherical coordinate system defined by local upward vertical (r), North-South (t), and West-East (p) directions.

Parameters:
  • m_rr (float) – Moment-tensor element Mrr. Unit: Nm

  • m_rr_errors (QuantityError) – AttribDict containing error quantities.

  • m_tt (float) – Moment-tensor element Mtt. Unit: Nm

  • m_tt_errors (QuantityError) – AttribDict containing error quantities.

  • m_pp (float) – Moment-tensor element Mpp. Unit: Nm

  • m_pp_errors (QuantityError) – AttribDict containing error quantities.

  • m_rt (float) – Moment-tensor element Mrt. Unit: Nm

  • m_rt_errors (QuantityError) – AttribDict containing error quantities.

  • m_rp (float) – Moment-tensor element Mrp. Unit: Nm

  • m_rp_errors (QuantityError) – AttribDict containing error quantities.

  • m_tp (float) – Moment-tensor element Mtp. Unit: Nm

  • m_tp_errors (QuantityError) – AttribDict containing error quantities.

Tensor._cast_type(key, value)

Cast type of value to type required in _types dict.

Parameters:
  • key (str) – The key from __setattr__.

  • value – The value being set to key.

Returns:

value cast to correct type.

Tensor._pretty_str(priorized_keys=[], min_label_length=16)

Return better readable string representation of AttribDict object.

Parameters:
  • priorized_keys (list[str], optional) – Keywords of current AttribDict which will be shown before all other keywords. Those keywords must exists otherwise an exception will be raised. Defaults to empty list.

  • min_label_length (int, optional) – Minimum label length for keywords. Defaults to 16.

Returns:

String representation of current AttribDict object.
